1. Introduction

Tachyon Audio
Time Stretch

Thank you for choosing Tachyon Audio Time Stretch!

Tachyon Audio Time Stretch (or simply Tachyon) is a software application that does only one thing and does it well: time stretching audio files.

Time stretching consists in changing the speed of a sound or music, without affecting the frequency and pitch. The algorithm used in Tachyon is designed to give the best possible quality. Hence it is designed for off-line processing only. It can be applied on both complex musical mixes and single tracks.

Tachyon uses more than 10 DSP algorithms internally in order to "understand" the sound and time stretch it with the highest possible quality. It is the result of many months of research, programming and careful listening.
